This role is based in Austinmer, NSW.
Job Description
Technical Traders are responsible for oversight of live trading systems and training of graduates.
Key Responsibilities
- Meeting Tibra’s market maker quoting obligations
- Support the development of junior traders and quants including training, mentoring and providing constructive feedback
- Growing the profitability of your trading product
- Full responsibility for individual P&L ensuring exceptional contributions to Tibra’s profitability
- Understanding your market and product through thorough analysis
- Maintaining low/appropriate risk levels
- Identify and implement new trading opportunities and products
- Build and improve on existing trading strategies
- Contribute to the efficiency of trading by suggesting improvements and new ideas for process and system development
- Carrying out any other Trading related requests from Team Leader or Head of Trading Desk
- 5+ years trading experience
- Highly advanced mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge and of financial markets and associated products
- Theoretical understanding of derivatives (and other products)
- Knowledge and use of Orc and Trading Systems
- Effectively communicating trade and market information amongst the desk
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or Actuarial Studies
- Highly advanced mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge and of financial markets and associated products
