  • The Role

    As Support Services Strategic Manager, you will oversee Housing & Homelessness programs in the Brisbane area with a focus on leading a strategic approach to support services to meet the needs of those we are trusted to support.

    You will lead teams in response to an innovative approach to homelessness in which enhanced support initiates and new pathways are provided. You will promote collaboration amongst key stakeholders to drive improved responses to the needs of the homeless.

    You will imbed values-based leadership in ensuring that programs are operated in accordance with service delivery, streamlined processes, wise management of resources and financial management whilst delivering outputs aligned to our mission and 'good works'

    This position is a fixed term contract ending June 2023, the possibility of extending is depending on funding.

    To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Social Sciences
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs and building an effective team
  • Experience in the Housing & Homelessness area and capacity to deliver on outcome focus support services
  • High level communication skills to establish and maintain effective partnerships and collaboration in a multidisciplinary team with both government and non-government providers
  • Experience in the development and implementation of strategic planning to enhance support initiatives
  • Proven ability to participate in the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement and enhanced service delivery
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with polices and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.
  • You will be required to complete a police check should you be successful in being appointed to our organisation. To be eligible for this position you must have an appropriate visa to work in Australia/New Zealand.
