The Position

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Safety &Health Officer to provide professional Occupational Health andSafety advice to Management, employees and contractors within theEngineering and Works Directorate at the City.

Reporting to the Human Resources and Safety Business PartnerE&W, you will provide management and supervisors withprofessional advice and interpretation on regulations andlegislative requirements, research and disseminate informationrelating to relevant legislative compliance that may impinge uponthe City’s operations and assist in the implementation ofsafety and risk management policies and procedures.

You will actively encourage safety awareness and behaviours thatminimise potential hazards and accidents in the workplace, conductincident investigations and assist in the development andimplementation of health and safety related programs andevents.

To Succeed In The Role You Will Have
  • Possession of professional qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (minimum Cert IV)
  • Experience in Occupational Health and Safety Management within a medium to large organisation
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Regulations, practices, procedures and standards
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Salary: $76,525 to $81,411 per annum, dependingon qualifications and experience.
