The Opportunity

As an integral member of the System Administration Team in our Payroll Services Unit, you will manage payroll systems to deliver legislative compliance for Federal Government, State Government, and private sector clients. You will operationalise key deliverables which feed into the overarching Aurion business plan. We provide flexible working options, the latest technology and tools, and a supportive environment.

What you will do

The ideal candidate will be required to contribute to the System Administration Teams objectives and meet contracted service level agreements and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Be accountable for HR and Payroll system configuration for outsourced clients in the Federal Government, State Government, and/or Private sectors.
  • Deliver pay runs and pay run reconciliations on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly schedule for outsourced clients.
  • Deliver End of Month and Quarterly Standard Reports.
  • Respond to and action customer requests within agreed service level timeframes.
  • Ensure an optimal level of service is provided at all time and continually seek process improvement opportunities.
  • For all Administered clients maintain the HR and Payroll systems configuration, including:
  • Classifications and awards.
  • Leave types and time codes.
  • Costing.
  • Non-complex Timekeeper configurations.
  • Allowances and deductions.
  • Superannuation funds.
  • Banking details.
  • Third-Party interfaces – e.g. APSED, Click Super.
  • Maintain system users profiles and security access.
  • Monitor and maintain all client batch logs – daily, weekly, monthly.
  • Provide assistance with the delivery of new client implementations.
  • Provide assistance with testing of the maintenance release cycle.
  • Scope, design, develop and deliver non-complex Aurion Query Tool (AQT) reports.

Required Skills

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who is able to learn and adapt. You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to work collaboratively as well as independently.

We also require:

  • Skills in dealing in a dynamic, high volume, and complex transactional payroll environment.
  • Exceptional knowledge of key HR Payroll configuration principles and processes.
  • Strong customer service skills to resolve sensitive and complex HR Payroll system administration enquiries whilst delivering a high level of service.
  • Sound knowledge of Federal government, State government, and/or private HR and Payroll legislation and standards or the ability to acquire this knowledge.
  • Proven strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret conditions of employment.
  • Understanding of HR and Payroll configuration tables or the ability to acquire this knowledge.
  • The ability to contribute to a dynamic and high-growth team environment.
