The Mersey-Leven Community Health Nursing Service is seeking experienced applicants for the role of Clinical Nurse Consultant
Mersey-Leven CHN & HCS provides quality nursing care to clients in their homes and in the community nursing clinics as well as home care services. The team consists of Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, RNs, ENs and ancillary staff including attendants, admin and home help/personal carers.
Nursing care includes medication assistance, wound care – including complex VAC dressings, palliative care, catheter changes and IV antibiotics.
Home care service includes hygiene & domestic assistance.
Mersey-Leven CHN & HCS covers areas including but not limited to Devonport, Ulverstone, Latrobe, Port Sorell, Shearwater and Sheffield including rural districts of Gunns Plains, Nietta, Gowrie Park and Bakers Beach. Our community nursing clinics are in Devonport and Ulverstone.
Details of Appointment
1 x Permanent Day Worker position working 76 hours per fortnight
Salary: $99,736 + 9.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the focus of duties of this role is to provide clinical leadership, supervision, guidance, coordination and support to the community nursing team
Please note: subsequent appointments may be made from this process and notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Essential Requirements
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Driver's licence
- Pre-employment checks as outlined in the Statement of Duties
- Relevant Post Graduate qualifications.
- Previous experience in a leadership role.
