JOB DESCRIPTION

A rewarding opportunity exists within Aveo Group for a Junior Development Manager to join our Developments team in a full time role based in Newstead, Brisbane.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Development Territory manager, this position will develop and manage both new and existing projects from inception through to completion.

You will have strong computer literacy and understand the retirement/residential markets around Brisbane and wider Queensland state.

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • To procure developments from concepts to completion
  • Participate in site Identification and Assessment activities
  • Review designs, recommend improvements and provide value adding solutions
  • Develop, manage new and on-going projects through to completion
  • New stock developed, released and turned over in line with business objectives
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to develop the product and revenue
  • Assist with new opportunities identified, pursued and if possible delivered in accordance with budget forecasts and investment criteria
  • Assist with submission of acquisition proposals
  • A significant contribution towards the development and implementation of a National Growth Strategy

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Significant demonstrated experience within development industry
  • Ability to read technical publications and identify implications for current or future projects
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into policies and procedures in the business
  • Understanding of leasing and sale documents
  • High standard and well received internal and external design outcomes
  • High level computer skills including proprietary feasibility system knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Land Economics, Engineering, Planning or a similar field
