About the Role

The Research and Education Manager will be responsible for the management of Research Team, Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (COE) and co-ordination of the COE's education and training program. They will contribute to the COE research program through research with an emphasis on health service delivery and health professional education in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care setting.

Be responsible for the operational management of research conducted at and through the COE, including (but not limited to) liaison with external research teams, oversight of contracts, ethics and governance applications, monitoring of research budgets, and reporting as required to ethics committees, funders, Metro South Health etc.
Apply highly developed research expertise to undertake research that aligns with the principles of the COE research program and identify opportunities to facilitate the translation of research findings into the COEs clinical and/or education and training programs.
Develop research collaborations and networks with researchers, academic institutions, professional bodies, community organisations, peak bodies and other internal and external stakeholders to support the ongoing development and implementation of the COE's education and research programs.
