Technical Officer

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $77,663 - $82,604 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role


Fitzroy River Water, Network Operations are looking for a skilled Technical Officer to join the team.


This position provides technical assistance to the Network Operations unit for the completion of activities associated with the delivery of water and sewerage services and to provide a high level of customer service for water and sewerage related matters.


You will be responsible for cost estimates, scheduling of labour and preliminary planning of projects. This position is based in Rockhampton however the successful candidate will be required to work at various locations throughout the Rockhampton Region.


This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

  • Trade Qualified and experience within providing technical and operational support to water and sewerage operations.
  • Time management skills with the ability to produce reports and statistics within deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to use initiative in completing tasks.
  • Ability to work together with others to achieve common goals both within immediate team and teams across Council.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders.

  • Trade qualification in Plumbing/Drainage (or related discipline) and equivalent demonstrated experience in water supply and sewerage works.
