Synopsis:

Labourer

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $58,991 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 3 + Site Allowance) + Superannuation
  • Location - Rockhampton

Your new role

Are you an experienced concreter with a desire to work with multiple teams across a range of projects within the Rockhampton region? Council is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to lay and finish kerb and channel and perform other duties such as concreting, pavement construction and pipe laying.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for·

  • Industry experience in either placing and finishing concrete kerb and channel, or forming, placing and finishing of concrete slabs
  • C Class Licence and Construction Industry White/Blue Card
  • Great teamwork skills and the ability to learn new roles and skills
  • Motivation to provide good customer service
  • Safety focussed with the ability to identify hazards and risks on the worksite
  • Adaptability to work with multiple teams in varying locations.

Application Criteria

  • Significant experience in placing machine and hand-poured concrete kerb and channel, and/or extensive trade experience in forming, placing and finishing concrete.
  • Knowledge and understanding of WH&S procedures relevant to concreting and civil construction.
  • A strong team player that demonstates positive attitude and willingness to learn multiple team skills.
