Medical Receptionist

The overall role of this position is to undertake a wide range of medical receptionist and administration tasks, including working with practice management and billing systems, medical records and supporting the headspace team to focus on delivering a quality service to young people and families/friends who attend the centre. This role is a fixed term role for 12 months working 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Qualifications in Administration and/or equivalent experience in a similar medical receptionist / administration role.
  • Knowledge of Medical Benefit Scheme (MBS) guidelines.
  • Must possess skills to work with young people in a Mental Health Environment.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and can work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing reception and or administrative support to a multi-disciplinary team including the requirement to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Well developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Must possess high level of computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and to have the ability to quickly acquire knowledge in utilising MMEX (Client Management System).
  • Current or ability to obtain a suitability card for child related employment (“Blue Card”)
  • Current Drivers Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.
  • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.
