We’re seeking an accomplished project manager to lead the implementation of The Safer Communities Framework that has been developed to mitigate the risk of challenging behaviours impacting USQ staff and students at the University.
In this role, you will promote positive well-being and manage risk using a multidimensional view of wellness which builds a safe and supportive workplace and learning environment where individuals are valued and treated fairly and equitably. You will apply your significant leadership skills, knowledge and understanding to act as the first point of call to manage concerning behaviours, including triage, assessment, referral and record management and provide high level advice and support.
In this key role, you will oversee the initial implementation stages of the framework which includes:
- The establishment of the necessary procedures as structured in the Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Policy
- Project manage the introduction of Advocate Software, liaising with the software provider, designing standard operation procedures and developing/delivering any necessary training
- Developing communication strategies to build awareness of the framework
- Convening a Safer Communities Reference Group and Assessment and Monitoring Behaviour Risk Team
In addition to your relevant qualifications and experience, your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, as well as your proven leadership within community welfare and mental health services will be key to your success in this role. If you can bring the necessary skills to implement best practice approaches and leading the framework implementation, we would love to hear from you.
You may choose to base yourself at one of our three campuses in Toowoomba, Ipswich or Springfield with some travel between locations required.

Salary: Total remuneration range $115,235 to $132,324 pa (includes salary range of $97,371 to $111,810 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
