The Job

We are after a motivated and passionate Contract Administrator to join our Marlborough office base in Riverlands, Blenheim. Reporting to the Performance Manager, you will be responsible for providing high quality administration and contract support to the team, while ensuring all contract administration functions are carried out to high standards. You will be responsible for wide range of responsibilities, including;

  • Preparation of monthly claims including data entry and preparation work
  • Administration Account Management, raise purchase orders, invoices and work orders and month end process.
  • Liaising with various departments and internal managers and assist with contract administration duties
  • First point of contact when dealing with correspondence, complaints and queries and entering into CRM service
  • Assisting with contract performance reporting and analysis
  • Meeting minutes as required
  • IT services, managing communications setup of all IT equipment
  • Building compliance - ensure all standards are current

The Candidate

Your positive 'can do', and 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude is a must. It is vital that you have the ability to remain calm, good humoured, approachable and flexible. You will go the extra mile and be extremely customer focused. You will also;

  • Excellent customer skills, including the ability to confidently liaise with difficult customers
  • Excellent proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Accounts payable/receivable experience
  • Proficiency using RAMM, advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in high output administrative roles
  • Knowledge of contracting / roading sector beneficial
  • A strong work ethic: must be highly motivated self-starter, with the ability to manage your own work load on a day to day basis
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality outcomes
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

For the right candidates we are also considering opening two positions for two part-time contract administrators, with hours split into morning and afternoon shifts.

Marlborough Roads is a joint venture between Heb Construction and Fulton Hogan managing the Network Outcomes Contract to maintain the roading functions of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency state highways and Marlborough District Council local roads.
