About the role:
Our Criminal Law program are seeking an experienced people manager to join the team in the role of Administrative Services Manager to lead and manage the Youth Crime administrative service team that provide support to the Youth Crime program.

In this role you will lead a dedicated team of legal assistants, ensuring the effective day to day operations of the team and service delivery objectives are met. With a commitment to the ongoing success of the team, you will coordinate the administrative support provided to legal staff and work collaboratively with other members of the criminal law management team to develop and implement policies and strategies that enhance and support quality service provision.

This presents an excellent opportunity for an administration expert with a keen interest in broadening their people management skills and working within the legal industry.

About you:
You will have strong client service skills with experience managing an administrative service team and/or proven people management capability in driving service delivery improvements in a fast paced and changing environment. You have the proven ability to effectively supervise staff, manage physical resources and foster a positive and high performing team environment.

Crucial to your success in this role is your understanding and experience of leading the provision of effective administrative support services, and ability to apply this to the benefit of both the legal support team and youth crime team more broadly.

Your general knowledge of the criminal law jurisdiction and legal procedures will be highly regarded, but equally important is your drive to continually improve your knowledge and experience in this area. As such, previous experience working in a criminal law environment is not a mandatory requirement to start in the role.
