    Summary

    The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing the sales activities in APAC region by increasing Newtrax’s market share, by expanding customer base in the region, managing sales channels, while maintaining and enhancing sales with current customers.

    Your responsibilities
  • Lead both business development and account management activities, to ensure a healthy pipeline of opportunities for the current and next fiscal year:
    • Ensure sales are ROI-driven
    • Builds a high level of customer intimacy; record relationships in MH Blue Sheets
    • Accelerate the sales cycle, until purchase order is received, and cash is collected
    • Achieve sales targets set on an annual basis
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations / demonstrations of the Newtrax product range and associated benefits for customers
  • Prepare documentation and submissions for Tenders, Expressions of Interest and Requests for Information
  • Contribute to financial budgets and sales forecasts (CRM) for approval by senior management
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the region. Relay market intelligence to Newtrax R&D and Product Management teams and maintain an up-to-date understanding of technology development and roadmap.
  • Be an ambassador for Newtrax culture by ensuring the workplace maintains a positive, high performance attitude.
  • While most sales will be direct, some channels via alternative departments in parent company are likely. Management of these channels may be required.
  • Work closely with the services team to ensure services activities are completed on-time and help manage expectations when they are not. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the business in industry events and tradeshows and collaborate with the Marketing and Product Management team to prepare for such events

Your talent
  • University degree in business, engineering, science or other relevant disciplines
  • MBA or equivalent (an asset)
  • ≥5-10 years of experience in sales/commercial focused directly on the mining industry
  • Proven experience in selling software and electronic technology-based solutions
  • Customer Centric Selling or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Miller Heiman sales methodologies or equivalent
  • Knowledge of mining industry specific P&L, value drivers and concepts that impact mining production, costs and common bottlenecks
  • Knowledge of CRM software
  • Fundamental understanding of supply agreements and contracts
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time (Post-COVID)
  • Outstanding listening skills and empathy in order to fully understand the client needs and their expectations
  • Outstanding presentation skills with groups and forums of customers, including with executive/ top management people
  • Ability to mentor and coach coworkers
  • Ability to negotiate complex agreements with major clients
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple complex accounts
