The Lead Planning Permits will lead a team responsible for shepherding Homes Victoria led projects through the planning system. Working closely with project delivery teams, the planning permits team will formulate planning strategies for individual projects, provide guidance and support to project managers and planning consultants to work through statutory planning issues and processes, and support engagement with local communities and Councils. The role will also influence the development of the social housing growth pipeline by developing planning frameworks for master planning projects.

The role will lead a team that provides expert statutory planning advice to senior leadership within the Director of Housing, and on a project and program basis to Homes Victoria delivery teams. You will have excellent statutory planning experience and a track record of collaborating successfully with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver planning permits.

Are you a:

  • An expert in statutory planning and its application to residential development, preferably relating to the social and affordable housing development?
  • Highly experienced in managing statutory planning processes with State and Local Government statutory agencies?
  • Experienced in working with a wide range of stakeholders to apply your statutory planning expertise to progress complex development project
  • An experienced leader in providing clear concise advice at the highest levels on complex and politically sensitive issues?
  • An experienced manager of professional teams?
  • Able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the procurement processes?
