About The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager - Asset Reporting, the role is primarily accountable for a wide range of management and financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting and providing financial analysis of Santos' QLD & NSW Assets.

Specifically, this role will be accountable for:

• Working with key stakeholders, produce and review monthly Asset Performance Reports to provide key stakeholders with analysis, insight and commentary in relation to business performance, including performance against targets and trends, key business drivers and performance metrics
• Providing asset ASX reporting information to Investor Relations
• Assisting with preparation of annual and half year subsidiary Financial Statements
• Supporting Group wide Asset Reporting deliverables for year end and half year reporting
• leading preparation of forecasts and budgets for responsible parts of the business
• Providing assistance to Asset Teams and Financial Services with accounting and reporting matters

About You

Ideally, you will have:

• Bachelor level qualifications in accounting, commerce or a similar business related discipline
• CA or CPA qualifications (preferred, but not essential)
• Experience working in resources, mining, construction and/or oil and gas, coupled with experience in a chartered accounting environment
• Experience using SAP (preferred) as well as MS Excel and other analytical tools
• Strong skills in financial analysis and reporting
• The ability to build strong relationships, based upon strong communication and people engagement skills
• A forward-thinking outlook and the ability to navigate complex environments at pace
