About Jessie McPherson Private Hospital

Jessie McPherson Private Hospital is a 103 bed tertiary level Private Hospital that is co-located at Monash Medical Centre Clayton since 1987. Our co-location with Monash Health provides a unique opportunity for access to world-renowned research and teaching facilities.

Jessie McPherson Private Hospital also has a wider official specialist role for greater Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate in such specialties as cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, gastro-surgical, high acuity maternity and neonatal services.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional, who is passionate and dedicated, has excellent communication skills, willing to commit to teamwork and professional development. You demonstrate the ability to lead by example in providing excellent patient centred care, and an advocate for Jessie McPhersons Strategic Guiding Principles.

About You

Registered Nurse with acute clinical experience, ideally but not limited to this specialty, who can demonstrate the following:

  • Show case your clinical knowledge and skills in our Neurosciences team; deliver a high standard of safe patient centred care to our patients and families.

  • Escalate clinical concerns and changes in a patient’s condition, communicate , support a multidisciplinary team, participate in Quality and Safety Activities and maintenance of NSQHS Evidence based best practice

  • Exceptional patient centred care and patient advocacy

  • Enthusiastic, compassionate and able to work collaboratively

  • Critical thinking & problem solving skills

  •  Demonstrated ICARE values

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Current Working with Children Check

  • Working rights within Australia

  • Current Vaccination history 

About Neurosciences at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital, Clayton

 31S Neurosciences Ward is a 26-bed unit, which includes 3 High Dependency beds with a primary focus on patient care & recovery of Neurosurgery, Neurology and Vascular patients.

Our department is a specialised Neuroscience facility and operates across a 24/7 rotational roster. Proud of our ability to work within a multidisciplinary team with the sole purpose of delivering exceptional patient centred care in a family friendly environment is our common goal.
