Our client, M.R. Rusty Removal & Body Repairs located in St Mary in NSW are seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join their team. They are a reputable workshop that takes pride delivering the best results in car servicing and smash repairs, and provides customers with the security of knowing that they are backed up by industry professionals.

The Role

The company is looking for a motivated and reliable Panel Beater to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high quality repairs and services, and contributing to the business’ smooth running operations.

The annual salary is set between $54,000 to $56,000 depending on experience.

The Responsibilities

  • Repairing damaged body panels using specialised tools and equipment
  • Operating mechanical and hydraulic equipment
  • Removing and repairing damaged glass and rubber seals from windows
  • Preparing vehicles for spray painting
  • Realigning, replacing and repairing damaged parts
  • Determining vehicle damage and repair procedures
  • Repairing corroded panels and components including rust and fibreglass repairs
  • Panel fabrication and welding
  • Installing and fit out of floor coverings
  • Straightening frames
  • Removing and replacing bonded panels and windows
  • Seat repairs and replacements
  • Repair and servicing destination mechanisms
  • Operate and use equipment for panel repair - ie. Electrical equipment etc
  • Operate computer software provided
  • Liaising with customers in regards to the services that they require

The Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience in Vehicle Body Repairs
  • Experience in prestige and classic cars are favourable
  • High attention to detail
  • Knowledge of specialised tools and equipment
  • The ability to work unsupervised and part of a team
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety regulations
  • Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills
