 We are currently seeking a Motor Assessing Team Managerto oversee our Digital Motor Assessing Team. As the Motor Assessing Team Manager, you will provide leadership and expertise to your team of Digital Motor Assessors whilst also helping achieve the best possible repair costs and customer experience.

This position will be home based and will provide assistance to the Motor Assessing Manager (Digital & Regional) by managing the performance and ongoing development of the digital motor assessing staff.

 You'll be responsible for:

 Take a leading role in delivering the achievement of competitive repair cost and customer service performance from motor assessors, repairers, other service providers, assessing administrators and cost controllers.

  • Ensure Open File Review (OFR) and Closed File Review (CFR) processes are applied to reduce repair cost leakage and improve motor assessor performance.
  • Act as first point of escalation by assisting in resolving complex queries beyond the skills, knowledge or authority of team members.
  • Apply one on one coaching skills to develop team member capabilities, achieve productivity objectives and deliver high performance.
  • Encourage a strong culture of compliance from team members with relevant codes of practice, regulatory requirements and corporate policies.

 Important to your success:

 Trade qualification and significant post-apprenticeship experience in their profession as a panel beater, spray painter or motor mechanic; or significant experience as a motor insurance assessor, or completion of the CAC approved units of the Certificate IV Vehicle Loss Assessing Course.

  • Sound current and practical knowledge in the smash repair industry with a broad understanding of different repair techniques, materials, finishes and equipment.
  • Experience in a team management or leadership role building high performing teams in a complex, fast-moving Customer Service environment.
  • Good understanding of the Motor Vehicle Insurer and Repair Industry Code of Conduct.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.
