Lead a quality NFP Aged Care provider focused on innovation and excellence in Southern NSW, Riverina.

Your new organisation
Our client is a community owned Not-for-profit Benevolent Institution that has been providing innovation and excellence in aged care to the Riverina region of New South Wales for the past 35 years. The village caters to the needs of 62 elderly and frail residents across respite care, high care and dementia care incorporates an evolving wellness and home care service and self-care living with plans to expand their service offering, including a future building program.

About the location
Cootamundra Nestled in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales within the Riverina, just 30 minutes off the Hume Highway, Cootamundra is a vibrant rural community bursting with things to do and fun to be had. There is a caring friendly community with a large volunteer base, a low crime rate (if not the lowest in the state), excellent health care (medial precinct including hospital and allied medical Centre) and plenty of other features, including:

  • Quality affordable housing, and country benefits of larger residential block sizes;
  • Three primary schools, two high schools; local Tafe college, and 60 minutes to Charles Stuart University;
  • Junior sport and numerous sporting options, two licensed clubs and a heated indoor pool;

Your new role
As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) you will enjoy the rewarding opportunities of leading a dynamic team of aged are professionals in providing flexible choices in quality residential, care and support services, whilst at the same time enjoying the fabulous lifestyle Cootamundra and the Riverina has to offer. This is a permanent full time position and the CEO will be responsible for providing strong leadership, business management and operational oversight of their aged care facility, retirement village and other related corporate services. You'll have substantial experience providing outstanding aged care services and delivering commercial success with high levels of client satisfaction. Contributing to overall strategy and success, you'll be an effective leader who can galvanise high levels of engagement and build strong, cohesive teams.

You'll be responsible for providing strategic leadership while managing a broad range of functions including operational management, clinical governance, ACFI, retirement living, home care, finance and HR. You'll meet performance targets and objectives and contribute to the identification, planning and achievement of strategic goals. Managing budgets and ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, policy, procedural and reporting requirements will be key. An alignment with the vision and mission of the organisation will be essential.
To be successful in the role of CEO you will have:

  • Graduate tertiary qualifications in business/health/aged care management and finance;
  • Proven ability to succeed in a leadership role;
  • The communication skills to rapidly gain credibility with and influence key stakeholders; and
  • A demonstrated understanding of statutory compliance obligations under the Aged Care Act and associated principles, the Retirement Villages Act (NSW) and compliance with the Quality Care Standard.
