Edged Group National Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned OEM of innovative solutions for the waste management & recycling sector. Our product range includes de-packaging & separator machines, and specialised equipment for resource recovery initiatives. 

We are seeking a Factory Supervisor responsible for overseeing approximately 10-15 staff at our South Windsor manufacturing site. The role requires good leadership and scheduling skills, ensuring quality and productivity are optimal. The Factory Supervisor will work on and off the tools, directly and indirectly with the reporting employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise & allocate labour/materials to meet production schedule 
  • Team matters - promote a ''can do' culture, lead by example & maintain high work standards.
  • Read & interpret engineering drawings & specifications 
  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives & communicate to employees.
  • Liaise with Production Manager & other stakeholders throughout manufacturing & product inspection processes.
  • Monitor production costs & labour efficiencies.
  • Assist with material stocktake & inventory management.
  • Ensure a safe work environment including the training of factory staff on operating procedures, general production tasks & regular housekeeping of work areas.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Trade Qualification in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing/ factory environments
  • Previous employment is a supervisory role is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to interpret drawings/written specifications.
  • Sharp production focus with a drive for accurate results & on-time delivery
  • Strong planning and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexible and able to make on the spot decisions.
  • Reliable attendance record
  • Available to work flexible hours.
  • Sound computer skills especially with MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Valid Australian drivers’ licence 
  • Experience with AutoCAD &/or Solid Works
  • Knowledge or experience with Quality Assurance systems
  • Forklift, crane licence and/or White Card.
  • Valid Australian heavy vehicle drivers’ licence 
  • Electrical trade qualification B class restricted (disconnect/reconnect license)
