About the role

The Administrative Officer will be a valued member of the Calvary Mater Newcastle Clinical Information Department (CID) Team, and required to provide efficient and effective medical record administrative support services to the Hospital. The Administrative Officer will be expected to complete work accurately and within required timeframes, whilst maintaining confidentiality of all information. Processing of Emergency Department (ED), Clinic and Ward requests, Reception duties, Assembling discharged records, Accurate tracking of medical record locations in the iPM system, and Routine filing and culling may form part of the role. The Administrative Officer will be required to follow predefined procedures for work, work in harmony with senior staff and team members and seek assistance when required.

What you bring

  • Administration experience working in a hospital or health care setting
  • Administrative skills and experience in working with patient records with a high attention to detail
  • Proficient in using computer systems in a health care setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to process high workload
