About the role

A passionate and highly driven ECT Educational Leader to join our amazing team.

The objective of this role is to contribute to the care and education of children as a member of the teaching team, establish and support the development of appropriate programs for both individual and groups of children in conjunction with The Early Years Learning Framework, maintain a safe and healthy environment and contribute to the overall operation of the Centre.

  • Permanent Full-Time position

You must have:

  • Degree in Early Childhood
  • Current first-aid certificate
  • Current working with children's check (WWC)
  • Child protection certificate
  • Must be confident in and take on responsibility of planning of educational curriculum
  • Must have highly developed communication skills in order to effectively liaise with both staff and parents.
  • Must have a high-level thorough understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) including National Quality Standards (NQS), QIP

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver curriculum founded on the centre's philosophies whilst following childcare regulations and National Quality Standards
  • Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning
  • Develop strategies to guide children's behaviour positively
  • Establish close positive reciprocal relationships with children, families and staff
  • Observe and record children's interests, strengths and abilities using electronic portfolios
  • Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe
  • Help develop teaching goals for the centre and demonstrate enthusiasm, passion and knowledge in the early childhood industry
  • Demonstrate strong self motivation, time management and organisation skills
  • Monitor and collect critical reflection notes surrounding program delivery with the ability to self reflect and grow as a professional educator.
  • To communicate clearly and confidently with centre management on a regular basis
  • Have the ability to reflect on theories and perspectives that drive teaching practices as part of a team.
  • Have a sound knowledge of Computer and Admin skills.
