Business Improvement Team Manager – Motor Accident Compensation | NT-Darwin

TIO is recruiting a Business Improvement Team Manager to join their MAC team. This is a newly created role within the business. The MAC Team is responsible for administering the Motor Accident Compensation Scheme on behalf of the Motor Accident Compensation Commission (MACC). This role is critical for the success of transformation activities and execution of operational plans within the MAC Motor Accident Compensation business.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement and provide analysis (including utilisation of tools, data analysis, process analysis, and cost-benefit analysis) to recommend appropriate initiatives.
  • Identify innovative methods of dealing with organisational problems and opportunities within the business through market research, consultation and engagement with business representatives.
  • Provide insights into scheme performance through analytics and commentary for Motor Accidents Compensation Commission (MACC) reporting, ensuring the identification of trends and recommending and developing strategies to address any opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops to develop creative and practical solutions which are focused on delivering improved customer experience and effective business solutions.
  • Assist in the definition, design and implementation of monitoring and controlling strategies that ensure initiative- project benefit realisation - including documentation in accordance with project management standards, and internal BI tracking tools and MACC reporting.Leading continuous improvement, business transformation initiatives and monitoring strategy development in the Motor Accident Compensation business.

You will bring an ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders at varying levels across our business utilising strong analytical skills and business focused solutions. In addition to:

  • Significant experience in the contemporary insurance business and understanding of its key drivers.
  • Experience in strategy development and implementation.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and delivering projects within time, budget and resource constraints and sustaining outcomes.
  • Proven ability to engage, inform, influence and negotiate with stakeholders to retain commitment throughout change initiatives.
  • Highly developed consulting and influencing skills, demonstrating the ability to co-create strategy and valuable analytical solutions with key business stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
  • Ability to focus on end-outcomes (including KPIs and targets) and work accordingly to achieve the desired results.Strong claims management, people management and leadership experience
