Our client is a structural engineering company based in Launceston,specialising in residential engineering.

They pride themselves in providing high quality design and documentation for a large variety of projects. Over the last few years, they have continued to grow and go from strength to strength and are now looking for someone to fulfil the role of structural engineer.

About the Opportunity

As a structural engineer you will be using your design skills to deliver engineering projects in both the residential and light commercial industries.

Reporting to the director, you will oversee projects from start to finish. You will be working with a team to deliver structural engineering designs and documentation. Your job will also involve meeting with clients, builders and liaising with building designers and architects, working with the existing team and training graduate engineers and drafts persons. You would be expected to provide on-site directions & conduct inspections.

About you

This role is ideal for an experienced Structural Engineer that would be CPeng and have over 6 years’ experience and would be able to take on the role of structural design engineer who has a Tasmanian license or the capacity to obtain a Tasmanian license.

To be considered for the role you must;

• Hold a Bachelor degree in either Civil or Structural Engineering - CPeng or equivalent and the ability to obtain Tasmanian license.
• Have a minimum of 6 years experience in a structural consulting firm or similar position
• Have experience in using a variety of software packages including AutoCAD, REVIT and Space Gass
• Have strong design and documentation skills
• Have experience in all stages of structurally engineering a project
