Salary package: $113,421- $118,839 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Seven (7), full time positions available for 18 month contracts (with potential for conversion to ongoing subject to funding)

The Research and Innovation Portfolio provides leadership and oversight of The Australian National University’s research strategies to deliver high quality research outcomes and impact, including through commercialisation, and industry and business engagement. The Office of Business Engagement & Commercialisation (BEC) is responsible for partnering with ANU researchers, professional staff and external stakeholders to help create impact and drive growth through commercial and end-user engagement.

We are looking for seven (7) Business Development Managers to help drive external partnerships across the ANU. These roles will be part of the Office of BEC and embedded with allied teams in ANU Colleges. This dynamic team of operators will work with academic and professional staff to help maximise the ability of the University to diversify research funding opportunities in support of College strategic priorities and institutional targets.

The ANU academic colleges cover various disciplines and are under the below structure:

  • College of Arts & Social Sciences
  • College of Asia & the Pacific
  • College of Business & Economics
  • College of Engineering & Computer Science
  • College of Health & Medicine
  • College of Law
  • College of Science

To be effective in this role, you will be an exceptional communicator, collaborator and networker who can successfully build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders from various industries to support the translation of University research capability. Your demonstrated experience with the development, implementation and management of project and partner pipelines and portfolios will help drive the strategic objectives of the University and its Colleges.
