THE COMPANY
Zilzie wines are a leading Australian family owned wine company with their winery based in Mildura VIC.

ROLE
This role is suitable for an experienced Grower Liaison Officer. This role is a senior position, reporting to the Senior Winemaker, and as such you will be required to mentor staff and help to lead improvements in style and innovation. Also acting as a coordinator between growers and winery management, in conjunction with Senior Winemaker

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspecting and assessing the berry condition of grapes in the vineyards of Zilzie Wines growers and suppliers, as required.
• Close consultation / communication of the outcomes of inspections and assessment to all parties concerned, including the Managing Director and Senior Winemaker
• All aspects of grape supply including planning, grower practices, and timely delivery
• Active participation in various industry bodies and government programs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and business development
• Utilising skills, assist Forbes Vineyards and Zilzie Wines growers

THE REQUIREMENTS
• Qualification in Viticulture or Agronomy
• Experience in vineyard operations or equivalent
• Experience in vineyard pest and disease identification and monitoring 
• Proactive problem solving abilities combined with a positive and consultative approach with a focus on accomplishing goals 
• Highly effective communication skills to initiate, develop, build and maintain internal and external partnerships
• Proven organisational skills and an ability to prioritise workload
