The Australian National University, one of the world's leading research universities, has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, customer serviced focused finance professional to work within the Financial Shared Services unit of the Finance and Business Services Division.
Financial Shared Services is on a mission to improve the way financial services are delivered across the University and an opportunity exists for a Deputy Finance Manager to play a critical role in driving and implementing these changes.
Position overview
The Deputy Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day functions of the Financial Integrity and Compliance team which include banking transactions; balance sheet reconciliations; general ledger maintenance; asset management; and supplier verification. The role also includes responsibility for managing bank accounts; performing period end and year end activities; preparing financial and performance reports; as well as associated compliance and control activities. The Deputy Finance Manager reports to the Manager, Financial Shared Services.
