Seeking applicants with strong presentation skills and ability to teach both in car and in class facilitation

Are you keen to refresh your presentation skills, and help deliver volunteer training for Victoria’s largest volunteer program? Then becoming an L2P Facilitator might be just the thing you’re looking for.

The TAC L2P Program assists learners between 16 and 21 years of age, who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle, to gain the driving experience required to apply for a probationary licence.

The program has around 1400 mentors who volunteer their time to help young learner drivers achieve their 120 hours of driving experience and we are looking for enthusiastic presenters to deliver training to volunteer mentors across the state. The role

As an L2P facilitator, you will receive training to deliver key road safety messages in line with the L2P Program curriculum that focuses on the behaviour change required to improve road safety outcomes for young drivers.

  • The mentor training includes a theory session in the morning and a practical driving session in the afternoon. You will be required to learn how to deliver both sessions.
  • Mentor training is delivered across Victoria, and you will be allocated training sessions in the region you reside in. Some Saturday work and travel will be required.
  • Facilitators will play a valuable role in engaging mentors to ensure their understanding of the program objectives.

What you'll need to succeed Ability to effectively:
  • Engage a group of volunteer mentors, including well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Deliver key messages in line with curriculum requirements
  • Ability to effectively facilitate the session, and engage with mentors and reinforce road safety messages
  • Proficiently use presentation technology

Mandatory requirements:
  • Attendance at a one-day facilitator training course
  • Undertake an assessment after the training course
  • Willingness to travel
  • Access to the internet and ability to use video messaging tools
