Highly respected Victorian State Government body as HR Business Partner during period of unprecedented growth


Your new company
Due to the expected growth a Victorian Government Sector Authority is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to join a growing team for a 3-month contract. This will be a temporary assignment with an immediate start operating at a VPS5.1 level, with an opportunity to work with a range of senior stakeholders in this highly regarded Victorian government body.

Your new role
Your role will see you be highly involved in HR matters of employee relations, performance management, recruitment and being the first point of contact for HR related queries in a designated portfolio. The responsibilities will involve assisting with a mix of People and Culture initiatives some of which involve not limited to:

  • Researching information on different HR initiatives related to remote working, diversity and inclusion, health and well-being
  • Able to extract and analyse workforce data and identify trends
  • Able to effectively write detailed briefs, reports, plans, policy at a senior level
  • Able to breakdown and interpret legislation, industry guidelines etc
  • Understands and has experience across the suite of HR activities – generalist rather than specialised

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
  • Worked in a professional Corporate environment previously with a range of stakeholders across interconnected functions
  • Ideally you will have a background mixed from public and private sectors
  • Experience in dealing with employee relations issues and partnering with line managers to advise and build their capability will also be necessary to successfully add value to this role.
  • Previous workforce analysis experience is desirable
