Duratec Australia is a multi-disciplined builder and maintenance contractor with 15 branches across Australia servicing the Mining, Oil and Gas, Marine industries along with Government and Defence assets and Commercial Infrastructure including heritage buildings.
THE ROLE
Duratec Australia have a new and exciting opportunity for a Site Supervisor /Site Manager with a remediation background to join our growing Queensland project teams. This role has flexibility in the home base and can be FIFO from Cairns, Townsville, or Brisbane, most likely on a 2/1 roster. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for assisting the project teams in all day to day supervision of remediation projects involving Abrasive Blast and Paint as well as Concrete repair.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The onsite supervision of the construction effort for a wide variety of projects
- Control and assurance of the safety and compliance of the workforce
- Contribution and execution of Construction Methodologies and Method of Works Plans
- Implementation of relevant SWMS, Permits, Isolations and Controls to ensure the safety of the team.
- Quality and workmanship assurance in accordance with quality management processes and documentation
- Manage and capture workforce hours and productivity
- Stock control, procurement, and inventory for the direct works on site
ABOUT YOU
- Willing to be 'hands-on' and flexible to travel around the Queensland region
- Previous experience in a similar role – Concrete remediation and/or Abrasive Blast and Paint project experience a must
- Trade background and at least 3 years demonstrated Supervisor experience.
- Frontline management experience – A preference but not a must
- Cert IV in OHS - Advantageous
