About the role
In this role, you will working closely with the Refinery and Supply Chain Finance Manager and the Refinery team, supporting month end processes and generating insightful reporting for the leadership team. You will be responsible for month end close processes, oversee capital project reporting, preparing annual budgets with a number of key stakeholders, and margin integration with the Supply Chain business.
You will perform financial modelling to review new initiative proposals and assist in preparing quarterly forecasts. You will support preparation of financial results presentations, provide analysis for input into the overall strategy for the Refining business. Viva Energy is a flat organisation, undergoing an exciting transition to a large independent business with a new strategy and a focus on growth.
About you

CA/CPA qualified and/or BS degree in Finance, Economics or a related field. You may come from a similar role in industry or be seeking to gain exposure to oil refining / complex manufacturing operating environment. You should be able to develop a basic financial model for forecasting or scenario analysis with exposure to Power BI. A reasonable understanding of accounting principles is required. You should have the ability to develop strong relationships to liaise effectively across the business. You will have strong reporting and communication skills and be able to manage multiple priorities and ideally experience within in an ERP such as JDE.
