JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our passionate Kitchen team. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will assist in daily food preparation, taking responsibility for service across a variety of meal periods including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
A successful candidate are people who have been, or are currently in similar roles, or experienced Chefs looking to step up and take on a new challenge. The right candidates must be hard, fast working, able to lead by example, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and personal hygiene within the kitchen. 

Successful candidates will possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of both local and international produce and technique
  • Passion for the food industry
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must take pride in their section, food, and working relationships
  • Ability to work as a part of a busy, dedicated team
  • Boundless energy
  • Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations

 About You:To be successful in this role it is ESSENTIAL that you have:
  • Certificate III in Commercial cookery (minimum)
  • 3 years post apprenticeship
  • Experience in a similar role in an a la carte hotel restaurant or functions kitchen will be highly regarded
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high quality food
  • An understanding of food safety and HACCP principle
  • Availability to participate in a 7 day working roster of days, nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Initiative and be a team player
  • Good personal presentation
  • Self-motivation, can do attitude
