Your new company
This high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an APS6 or EL1 Project Officer to join their fun and dynamic team for an initial 6 month contract with the view to extend further. You will be a part of a task force with a mental health focus and manage projects and activities.
Your new role
You will work under limited direction and support delivery against the task force imperatives. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Manage large policy advice projects
- Manage the program of work and activities against agreed milestones
- Provide quality assurance standards and measures
- Present high-level report and policy advice to a diverse audience
- Draft and prepare reports
- Undertake research as required
- Analyse and interpret policy performance indicators
- Supervise mentor and coach direct reports
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and finalisation of policy documents
- Manage procured grant and contractual processes
- Other tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for the positions you will have previous experience within a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbally, high attention to detail skills, the ability to work independently and in a team, good organisaitonal skills and the ability to work in a fast pace environment.
To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
