About the role
The General Manager Business Development and Strategic Partnerships is a newly created role to lead the development and delivery of new and existing strategic opportunities. Accountable for building financial sustainability through revenue generation and diversification, you will create and implement the new business development strategy. Working collaboratively with the senior leadership team, you will strengthen partnerships and relationships that support Carers Victoria’s work as a peak body and provider of services. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this critical role is intrinsically linked to building the capacity and capability for Carers Victoria to deliver on its purpose.
With a minimum of 5 years’ senior business development experience, you will have an exceptional track record of applying commercial strategies to drive revenue and collaborations. With a sophisticated approach to networking and relationship management, you will have successfully identified opportunities to source funding including government and philanthropic grants, corporate sponsorships, and commercial partnerships. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential, a confident writer of tenders and business cases, you will bring an innovative approach to developing purpose driven commercial opportunities.
Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or social impact preferred. Values alignment and commitment to an inclusive and diverse workplace is essential.
