To help us achieve our vision, we are looking for a seasoned OD leader who brings a fine blend of critical thinking and complex problem solving ability to own the strategic direction of diversity and inclusion, Aboriginal employment, technical training, learning and development, leadership development and succession planning. In this pivotal role, you’ll influence and support our business to be develop the fresh water thinkers that we need to deliver our vision.

About The Role

At Water Corporation, OD is recognised and valued as a strategic enabler to achieving our corporate objectives. In this multi-dimensional and challenging role, you will play an instrument part in building and shaping culture, leadership, talent and capability, enabling our people to feel safe and supported to be successful together.

You’ll be joining Water Corporation at an exciting time. We are moving to a process-led operating model and you will play a pivotal role in our transformation, leveraging established OD frameworks, processes and tools to deliver culture, leadership and capability programs that help our people embrace change and adopt new ways of working.

As leader of our OD centre of excellence, you will also coach and inspire a portfolio of specialist OD teams to deliver on the People and Safety strategy and provide our leaders with innovative, practical solutions and advice on OD matters, priorities and direction. With a broad scope and talented OD team, you will influence outcomes in learning and development, diversity and inclusion, performance and employee experience.

We are creating a team of adaptable, highly skilled and future-focussed Fresh Water Thinkers and you will be key to our success.

About You

Your passion for identifying, harnessing and developing people, potential and ideas really stands out from the crowd; your career to date will demonstrate substantial success in building capability, growing leadership and shaping the workplace to achieve target culture and lift organisational performance.

A positive change leader, you bring experience in designing and deploying enterprise-wide HR programs in large, complex organisations to shape and improve HR services and deliver measurable business outcomes. Your collaborative approach and broad knowledge across our key focus areas of culture, inclusivity and learning will help you build strong relationships and foster unity as we work towards new ways of working.

You will enjoy working with a team of bold, innovative thinkers where your growth mindset and ability to embrace ambiguity and change will help you turn our vision for the future into reality.

Key Skills And Experience

For us, the most important thing you will bring to the table is deep OD experience, a passion for delivering outstanding employee experiences and a creative, future-focused approach. You will hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or another relevant discipline and, in line with our desire to foster a culture of lifelong learning, any opportunities that you have sought out to acquire specialist or complimentary skills and knowledge will be valued.
