The Role

Spotless is the lead contractor to provide Estate Maintenance and Operation Services (EMOS) for the Department of Defence in Queensland and Southern New South Wales.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Estate AppraisalManager. This is responsible for managing the Estate Appraisal team to ensure the Estate Appraisal condition assessments are developed, implemented and meet or exceed the Defence requirements.

This full-time role will deliver a range of services including, but not limited to:

  • Completion of audits of Defence assets and providing recommendations for future works
  • Responsible for assisting with desktop and physical appraisals for designated areas
  • Responsible for the provision of assistance and providing advice to others for the collection of data
  • Supporting Senior Estate Appraisal Manager in the development and ongoing maintenance of the Strategy and Management Plan
  • Ensuring Estate Appraisal auditing schedules are delivered on time
  • Supporting Senior Estate Appraisal Manager to deliver outcomes in regards to Estate Element performance standards (functionality, condition and regulatory compliance
  • Providing support to the Defence-engaged specialise consultants and surveyors
  • Engaging and working effectively with all internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Experience

  • Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship Mandatory)
  • Industry or tertiary qualifications in construction and / or engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar field (asset management and analysis in the building industry)
  • Highly effective planning, reporting and prioritising skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and make business recommendations
  • Familiarity of statutory requirements, codes of practice and National Construction Code of Australia
  • Excellent problem solving and computer literacy skills
