JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide market leading proactive claims customer service to Commercial Insurance customers and intermediaries in relation to Motor Claims.

There are multiple permanent full-time opportunities within the Motor Claims split between the Leasing team, Fleet Claims Team & the Commercial Team. Roles can be located dependent on the right candidate in Sydney, Brisbane, Victoria, or Perth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound and outbound customer, supplier and Broker calls relating to Commercial, Fleet and Leasing claims
  • Resolve customer / intermediary issues and complaints
  • Attending Client Meetings and develop relationships with Fleet clients
  • Case Manage Claims in a proactive customer focused manor
  • Proactively keep customers, intermediaries and claims stakeholders fully informed
  • Identification of suspected fraudulent claims, potential recoveries and salvage opportunities
  • Determine information required for claims, gather and interpret information and make appropriate decisions about claims
  • Extensive internal and external working relationships with Customers, Intermediaries, Peers, Suppliers, Professional Service Providers, Offshore Partners, Risk Managers, Claims Relationship Managers, Business Development Manager and Underwriting Teams

Skills & Experience

  • A proven record of providing excellent customer service
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills in a high-volume call environment
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy
  • Previous experience case managing insurance claims (desired)
  • ANZIIF Qualifications preferred (not essential)
  • Understanding of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of: Commercial Insurance business, market and external environment & Insurance and financial industry principles and regulatory requirements

Requirements & Hours

This team works between the hours of 8am – 7pm & you might be required to do a late shift (11am – 7pm) twice a month. Alternatively, if you prefer a late start, you can request to do 11am – 7pm every day.

This is an office-based role, however during COVID-19 the role will be performed from home. As such, the following work from home requirements are applicable;

  • Separate room for their office, that has a door – it’s important this space is private
  • Desktop computer/laptop and internet is required, dual screens preferred
  • When Suncorp directs employees back to its offices, you will be required to attend the office
