We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our P&C team. Based in Moe, the focus of this role is to support the P&C Manager working with leadership teams and staff to deliver the corporate strategy. The role will also facilitate the operational requirements in delivering a well-rounded and consistent HR Service to the Retail Division (business unit) of the Bank.

What you will be doing

  • Contribute to the development of initiatives which strengthen the Bank’s culture and implement these across designated business units
  • Assist the P&C Manager to manage employee relations issues and coach managers on performance improvement plans 
  • Co-ordinate periodic performance processes and provide input into remuneration outcomes
  • Promote reward and recognition initiatives across business units
  • Support managers to ensure individual development plans are in place for all staff in the business unit
  • Support the P&C Manager to implement leadership development initiatives in the business unit.
  • Work with the business to ensure they understand and meet their L&D compliance requirements
  • Be prepared to travel to branches, lending hubs, contact centre and centralised assessment team
  • Support the P&C Manager and liaise with the Talent Acquisition Partner to partner with managers on workforce planning and resourcing, including recruitment
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and provide administrative support across a variety of P&C tasks 
  • Undertake project work as delegated by P&C Manager.

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in People & Culture or a related discipline (or working towards)
  • Experience providing HR generalist services
  • Strong customer service orientation and exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team
  • Achievement of goals; being able to manage risk, deal with uncertainty and build the capability of others
  • A positive attitude and proactive style
  • Excellent time management and administrative skills 
  • Ability to influence; communicates with clarity, negotiates persuasively and listens and adapts to the audience
