The Role
The Senior Primary Design Engineer will deliver a number of technical functions across primary design including proposal development work, concept design, budgeting, detailed design (layouts, switchboard ratings, cable sizing etc), site support/commissioning and working with multiple stakeholder groups and clients. They will be seen as a trusted advisor to the client in all substation matters.
The Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
- A least 5 years experience in HV design of transmission and distribution assets
- Familiarity with software design packages
- Detailed knowledge of substation hardware; indoor and outdoor switchgear, transformers, cables and conductors
