Hunter Executive are currently working in partnership with a very successful, national Multi-disciplinary consultancy who provide services to clients across a range of industries including Mining, Oil & Gas, Government, Infrastructure and Land Development.

They are well established in Western Australia and have achieved continued, organic growth due to their entrepreneurial spirit combined with a sensible, measured approach to expansion ensuring they always provide high quality work to their clients.

Due to this success and internal promotions, they are currently looking to appoint a Team Leader for their Contaminated Sites team.

This role will involve a mix of technical delivery of work (such as due diligence investigations, preliminary site investigations (PSI), detailed site investigations (DSI), remediation works, HAZMAT management, site monitoring and site closure reporting etc) and Team Leader duties (including some Business Development / Client submissions, but predominantly HR, Staff Management, Career Reviews, Performance Management, Invoicing, workload management / Projections etc)

This is an important role for the company and would suit an experienced Environmental Team Leader or Senior Environmental consultant who has had experience in managing a team of environmental professionals.

The 'Ideal' candidate will have:

  • A Tertiary degree in Environmental Science or similar.
  • Around 10 + years' relevant experience including previous environmental consultancy experience.
  • Previous technical experience in contaminated land projects.
  • Strong report writing / reviewing and project management skills.
  • Local experience, contacts, and networks in WA.
  • Good interpersonal skills including a positive, and adaptable attitude and the ability to fit in well with a mid-sized, friendly team of professionals.
  • The ambition and energy to lead a team.
  • Previous team management / leadership experience (able to coordinate, motivate, mentor a team and guide delivery of work)
