The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head Teachers within the Hospitality, Commercial Cookery and Food & Beverage you will work in collaboration with the small close-knit team and apply your knowledge of the hospitality sector in all aspects such as stock ordering, preparing the allocated student area and work health and safety practices. you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating class support staff in the provision of high-level support to teaching sections within Hospitality. Within this hands on role you will undertake the Supervision of the day-to-day class support operations for practical classes, ensure the areas comply with work, health & safety regulations and are ready for use by the teachers and students. Applying your knowledge and experience within stock control you will be responsible for ensuring that the correct amount of stock is on hand for all students and teachers.
To succeed in the role you will have;
- Certificate IV in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery or 3-5 years supervisor experience within the hospitality industry.
- Sound knowledge of hospitality operations
- Hold a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Current NSW drivers licence
- Demonstrated experience in food ordering and stock control
- Ability to learn and then train other staff in the use of TAFE business systems and account/requisitioning
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and think on your feet in a fast paced environment
