How will I help?

This role is part of the Chief Operating Office (COO) finance team. Working with a group of professionals this role will deliver strong financial control through the adherence to policies, processes, and standards; provide financial insights and advice to help our business leaders achieve target outcomes; and build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders.
The Chief Operating Office division brings together our Corporate Services, Group Operations and Group Technology functions.

Main rsponsibilities include:

  • Provide finance support to the COO (technology, group operations, corporate services) business
  • Partnering within Finance and business leaders and/or taking the lead on the provision of insights
  • Applies financial policies, frameworks, and standards to the delivery of work activities, including to the management of risk and control
  • Financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting, including summarising information into key high level messaging for senior leaders
  • Provision of ad-hoc analysis and deep dives to identify opportunities and assess performance relative to the strategy
  • Change and continuous improvement to enhance capabilities across the team and in supporting the business
  • Builds collaborative relationships within and outside of immediate team to enable achievement of Group outcomes
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the business to support decision-making

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

  • Background in Finance or Accounting studies (CA/CPA qualified preferred or working towards)
  • 3+ years’ experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Excellent financial modelling skills
  • High competencies in reporting and presentation
  • Ability to translate data and analysis into insights and advice
  • Good understanding of business performance drivers
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel essential)
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Confident with stakeholder engagement
  • Analytical skills and critical thinking capability
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Proactive with excellent attention to detail
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and customer service
  • Enthusiasm and a keen interest/curiosity to learn
