Communications / IT Technician Apprentice - SYD METRO

Are you looking for a high-tech and yet hands on opportunity where you can gain practical experience and a relevant qualification at the same time? Then this apprenticeship might be the one for you!

You will assist and work with qualified Fibre Technicians/Cable Haulers in the installation of Fibre Optic cable in Telstra/NBN Buildings and in outdoor street works.

You will be enrolled into a Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology and attend TAFE while working to build your long-term career in the communications industry.

Duties:

• Assist a qualified cable installer, installing fibre optic cable in commercial buildings and outdoor street work as well as assisting a fibre splice
• Going out on different sites to assist as needed
• Attending TAFE and making sure studies are up to date
• Learning new skills and apply them in future projects independently

Skillset Required:

• Strong communication skills - written and verbal
• An enthusiastic attitude and attention to detail
• Experience working at heights and EWP would be a benefit
• Drivers Licence and White Card
• Punctual and Reliable
