Java Developer - Melbourne CBD

The Company

Salt is excited to have partnered with one of Australia's leading Financial Services organisations based in Melbourne CBD, who is currently seeking a Java Developer to join one of their digital engineering teams on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Java Developer, you'll be joining one of our Financial Services client's innovative digital engineering teams, where you'll help with development of complex APIs and Micro services as part of a large-scale project, which is using some of the latest platforms and technologies.

Key Skills and Competencies:

The successful Java Developer should have the following skill set;

• Expertise in Java related technologies
• Extensive experience with Java 8+
• Strong knowledge working with Micro service architectures (Spring boot, Gradle, Kafka)
• Hands-on experience in developing Web APIs
• Commericial experience with DevOps principles and the AWS ecosystem (DynamoDB, RDS, S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch)
• Proficient in building CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of Unit Testing and TDD
• Experience working in an Agile environment
