About our Technology team

What will you be doing?

You’ll be joining our close knit team responsible for development of micro-services managed by Parcel Systems team and develop/ rebuild and migrate .NET applications to Java and support them.

Our IT division is huge, we invest in the latest technologies which is plays a key role in driving the continuous success of our business.

What we are looking for?

As a Senior Java developer, you will consult on application architecture, development, automation, security, scalability and operational readiness of traditional and cloud based solutions.

There are a few other things we are looking for:

  • An experienced Java professional, with a true passion for technologies such as Java based microservices (JAVA 8+, Spring Boot, Hibernate)
  • Previous experience migrating .NET applications to Java will be highly regarded
  • Experience in designing, developing, supporting and maintaining cloud (AWS/GCP) native applications using containarisation (Docker)
  • Proficient in source code management and CI/CD principles, allowing application source code to be built, packaged, versioned and deployed
  • Demonstrated experience with automation testing frameworks to test functional and integration requirements at code level - Junit, Mockito, , Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber
  • Proven experience working with and supporting high traffic/transactional applications
  • Demonstrated experience using technical practices such as writing clean, testable code, TDD and pair programming

You will encourage and assist with fostering a strong DevOps culture within the organisation and have a natural ability to build and maintain relationships with other teams to deliver cohesive customer-focused outcomes.
