Due to this and recent changes within the Safety, Health & Environment team, we are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor for Business Process, Human Factors & Change to join us.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience in managing change with a human factors lens within a safety environment and who has demonstrated results of forming engaging relationships within an organisation to drive positive safety behaviours and improve safety culture and performance. Having strong capability for analysing and reviewing data, you’ll identify behavioural insights and learning opportunities to address blockers and enablers of safety behaviours. This role will also provide partnering support to our Technical Services and Planning (TSP) and Corporate business units.

About the role:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in safety leadership & safety change initiatives across the business
  • Design, develop, implement and review the enterprise human factors safety change initiatives
  • Supporting the design and implementation of an enterprise safety change framework
  • Provide senior leadership training and coach operational leaders in safety programs to encourage uptake across the business
  • Perform periodic analysis and reporting of organisation-wide performance against human factor KPI’s and the quality of these safety interactions
  • Provide safety support to TSP and Corporate and draw on SME advice within the Corporate Safety team as required
  • Design, develop, implement, and review the annual first line of defence assurance plan for TSP and Corporate
  • Identifies change requirements, translates these into actionable plans in order to support the adoption of change in relation to safety across the enterprise
  • Champions a culture of collaboration and accountability to enable optimal ways of working across the Safety community

About you:

  • Significant experience in Safety change management
  • Degree level qualification (such as organisational psychology or human factors) (preferred)
  • Expertise in safety leadership and culture
  • Experience in the design and implementation of human factors based safety programs
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully embedding change
  • Experience in safety leadership coaching
  • Experience in building strong relationships within an organisation to provide safety advice and support at all levels
  • Expertise in human factors and behavioural psychology
  • Experience in the management of change in an operational context
