Due to recent changes and growth within the Loss Prevention Department, we are seeking a Loss Prevention Advisor that will be reporting to the Regional Loss Prevention Manager.

About the Role Key Responsibilities

The Loss Prevention Advisor position may be your first or second step within a Retail Loss Prevention function, and the position will aid and assist in the implementation of our Loss Prevention strategies and shrinkage reduction across the business. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic additions to the Loss Prevention Team. As a Loss Prevention Advisor, you’ll be responsible for Loss Prevention reviews across Victorian stores (with regular travel to stores within the region) conducting checklists/reviews and passing this information onto the Regional Loss Prevention Manager.

This position will be based from our Preston Office, however regular travel across Victoria (metro and regional) will be involved.

Responsibilities/accountabilities will include:

  • Assisting with providing outstanding Loss Prevention support and follow-ups to stores as required
  • Assisting the Regional Loss Prevention Manager in working with store owners and retail managers to minimise all types of shrinkage
  • Reporting any incidents or breaches of company policy to the Regional Loss Prevention Manager
  • Completing Loss Prevention Audits and checklists at stores across the areas of responsibility to ensure compliance to policy and procedures
  • Pro-actively identify internal theft and malpractice
  • Conduct store team awareness training covering all aspects of Loss Prevention
  • Maintaining relationships with Loss Prevention contractors and providers
  • Offering support for stores in areas such as serious incidents and insurance claims

Skills and Experience

  • Have a passion for Loss Prevention and Retail
  • Self-motivated with great time management skills
  • Be able to work autonomously without direct supervision
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills to ensure all activity is being accurately followed and understood
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Previous experience in Retail and/or Loss Prevention, and have a knowledge of what a Retail Loss Prevention position is all about would be seen favourably
