ACM Healthcare has partnered with a prime government contractor to provide NDIS Assessors nationally.

We are seeking to recruit 15 clinicians, at minimum 4 days per week, ideally full-time (totals 10 assessments per week). These assessments could also occur after hours (5:30-8:30 pm) and/or Saturday as these are a high demand timeslots. We would be wanting this workforce for an initial 4 week period, with a view to extending after the project.

NDIS Assessors Role

• Occupational therapists
• Physiotherapists
• Speech pathologists
• Clinical and registered psychologists

An independent assessment is not a medical diagnosis. Instead, it creates a complete picture of how a person manages tasks and activities in their life, as well as the overall impact the disability has on their life.

The health professional will use standardized assessment tools to gather information in one or more appointments to make an assessment of functional capacity. A person’s age and primary disability will determine which and how many of the assessment tools need to be completed.

Assessments may take up to 3 hours and can be done in person at the health professional’s office, at home, or via telehealth

What you need:

• A current Working With Children Check in the relevant State/Territory
• Police check valid in the last 2 years
• Professional body membership (AHPRA / Speech Pathologists body)
• Assessment delivery experience

Experience and skills:

• Experience and knowledge in the disability sector
• Savvy PC skills (able to navigate the use of a PC confidently between applications of Excel and online platforms)
• Telehealth experience (preferably with MS Teams)
