Network Security Specialist

The Network Security Specialist will secure, support, manage, maintain and innovate cloud-hosted and on-premise technology at Sportsbet locations.

The team

Work as a member of the team, providing in-depth technical skills and experience to the capability of the team, with a security mindset and an understanding of the importance of empowering our business without undue risk. Provide 24/7 support of Sportsbet Network, Cloud and On-Premise hosted technologies. Undertake or participate in ad hoc projects and day to day operational tasks as required. Collaborate in the design of solutions in an open and agile way, as required to meet specific business objectives.

Is this role for you?

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of identify and address management, data security and vulnerability controls including malware protection, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, content filtering, Internet proxies, encryption controls and log management solutions
  • Strong experience with designing and implementing WAF (Web Application Firewall) and IDS/IPS/DLP policies, regular tuning or custom signature rule writing for IPS/WAF
  • Solid understanding of vulnerabilities, threats, risks, payload analysis, raw packet analysis, compliance and other aspects or security governance.
  • A solid understanding of HTTP methods, response codes and forward web-proxy and web-security design
  • A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, technical issue resolution skills, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
  • Demonstrated experience with routing with a strong emphasis on BGP, switching, firewall, VPN and load balancing (Aruba, Palo Alto and Akamai technologies)
  • Experience with AWS networking and content delivery (VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, Transit Gateway)
  • Experience with the Aruba software suite, specifically Clearpass and Airwave.
  • Experience with SD-WAN private networks (Velocloud)
